Islamabad:
Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, secretary general of the Muslim World League, visited on Thursday an orphanage in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, where he shared the joy of Eid al-Fitr with orphaned children.
The visit came a day after Dr. Al-Issa delivered the Eid al-Fitr sermon at the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad during the sermon, in which Al-Issa called on Muslims to keep Palestinians close to their hearts and in their prayers as they celebrate the holiday.
“While we rejoice in this happy celebration, we do not forget the tragedy of our brothers in Gaza, who are afflicted by aggression and arrogance, may God give a positive result to their trials, may the crimes committed against those who committed them be reversed,”he added.
He also spoke about the responsibility of Muslims to use their actions to highlight Islam in its true light.
Mohammad Omar butt, a spokesman for the Pakistani government, said earlier that during his nine-day visit, Dr. Isa will hold high-level meetings with the Pakistani president, prime minister and Minister of Religious Affairs.
”The secretary general of the Muslim world league will sign a memorandum of understanding with the government of Pakistan to establish a Modern Museum of the Prophet’s biographies in the federal capital,” he said, adding that the secretary general of the Muslim world league will also hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the museum after signing the memorandum of understanding on April 15.
The museum will be the first of its kind in Pakistan dedicated to displaying relics related to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
