The call of the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Resonated across the Arabic and Islamic world for social media to set controls to prevent the spread of hatred and incitement against followers of religions through social
media. Actions in favor of the call have continued, demanding their support for their positive impact on social peace and sovereignty of the spirit of tolerance among followers of religions. In letters addressed to Facebook and Twitter, his Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, The Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) called for action to prevent these platforms from making a high-profile area for extremists from all sides to publish inflammatory claims for followers of different religions, especially Islam in what is known as “Islamophobia”.
